Broncos Wilson shoulder injury

The Russell Wilson rollercoaster continued for the Denver Broncos on Monday night against the Chargers.

Wilson and the offense came out of the gates looking better than normal. Unfortunately, the Broncos stalled horrifically in the second half.

Wilson completed three passes for eleven yards on eleven attempts in the second half. He threw for no touchdowns after the first half.

The Broncos were a measly 4-14 on third down on the night, and they fumbled three times. They only lost one of them, though.

The loss brought the Broncos' record to 2-4 through six games.

Quarterback wins aren't always a very trustworthy statistic, but these records by past Broncos' QBs are terrifying regarding Wilson.

These numbers are one of the reasons that Denver fans are sounding the alarms. You cannot really blame them, either.

The Broncos pushed all their chips in by hiring a first-time head coach and trading a lot of capital for a veteran starting QB.

They expected to be contenders. Nathaniel Hackett and Russell Wilson have not made them one so far.

Instead, their offense is one of the worst in the league while their defense continues to shine.

In the AFC West, you must be able to score points consistently. Wilson and the Broncos have not come close to that.

Seeing Wilson at the bottom of a list that includes Tim Tebow, Brock Osweiler, Trevor Siemian, among others is quite the wake-up call.
