The Denver Broncos have found themselves in an odd situation where they now have to make decisions on their quarterback. Will they cut Russell Wilson like they said they would, or will they keep him like they also suggested they could?
Either way, it's pointing toward a situation where we see Wilson on a different team in 2024. His days of wearing blue and orange are likely over, but that doesn't mean his days of playing football are.
According to ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler, Wilson would be open to joining a team on a veteran minimum deal if it meant he was a starter. That means the teams who don't have a current quarterback with their spot held down could be landing spots for Wilson in 2024.
This is news for the Broncos because this means it throws a wrench in any plan the Broncos had of trying to trade him away to get anything back if that was ever going to happen anyway.
Wilson is smart for this, though, and all he wants to do is win.
