The long wait is finally over. The Detroit Lions will finally release their next episode of the Emmy award winning series Inside the Den tonight at 8:15 EST.
Lions fans have been waiting with baited breath to see the latest episode. The team has not released one since April 26th when they put their episode going over free agency. This episode will of course cover the draft and everything that's gone on since. From what we here, the expectation is that this episode's run time is movie length.
Since this is going to be a big one, there's bound to be some big things in it. Here's 5 things we're hoping to see in tonight's episode of Inside the Den.
Inside the War Room

This is the best part of this episode every year. we get taken inside the Lions war room on draft night and get to see discussions about the players, the decisions to draft players, the call to that player and the war rooms reaction after the player is drafted. It’s almost like you get to be a part of the action.
It'll be nice to see some cameos too. Last year we got to see Antwan Randle-El stick his head in the door and thank the war room for selecting Jameson Williams. What will we get to see this year?
How the Lions reacted to the worlds reaction of their draft

This one might be a bit of a long shot, but it would be cool to get some more insight on how the team reacted to the way that the rest of the world initially reacted tot heir draft class. We’ve got to hear Brad Holmes talk a little bit about it in his post draft presser and on his podcast appearance with Peter Schrager.
It would be cool to get some deeper insight on that and maybe hear from some guys that we haven't heard from yet. It would be cool to get some scouts thoughts on mock drafts and draft experts.
Bromance

This could easily be the sequel to the Paul Rudd and Jason Segel classic I Love You, Man. This has been quite the bromance and these guys have taken it to the next step this year by hilariously wearing shirts featuring each other on them to press conferences.
It would be cool to see more of these guys working together. We got to see a lot of it on Hard Knocks last summer when we saw the two working on the Lions 53 man roster, but it would be cool to see them working on the draft together too. We at least got a little spoiler of Holmes talking about the shirt, so maybe they are going that way.
Player reactions to getting drafted

There’s nothing like watching someone realize their dreams. It’s an emotional and inspirational moment to see. It’s the kind of thing that makes you want to go out and work on your own dreams. We haven’t really been able to see those this year. That might be because they were saving those moments for this episode. Hopefully we get to see that tonight.
Rookie Acclimation

It would be cool to see the rookies getting acclimated to things. I’m talking about things like walking through the building for the first time, rookie mini camp, meeting some of the vets and just generally getting acclimated to being in the NFL. Unfortunately we won’t be able to see the rookie talent show since that hasn’t happened yet according to Dan Campbell. Unless Campbell was lying to us and they plan to show it on tonight’s episode. Probably not, but we can dream.
