The Detroit Lions have been dealing with injury issues so far this season, but it looks like things could be starting to change in that realm. The Lions may be getting back two of their biggest stars ahead of their first division game of the season. Both David Montgomery and Taylor Decker could return in this game.
"I feel like probably the two that are trending the most positive right now would be Decker and D-Mo" Campbell said Tuesday. "Those are two I'm starting to feel pretty good about."
Things have been trending up for both of these players as the weeks have gone along. Last week Taylor Decker was working with trainers on the sideline and David Montgomery did some moving around as well. Montgomery wound up being doubtful for the Lions on Sunday and that was somewhat of a surprise. The expectation for Montgomery was that he was going to miss multiple weeks and then he wound up getting a designation that wasn't out in the first week.
Both returned to walk through practices on Monday and will more than likely participate again on Tuesday. Taylor Decker seemed liek he was ready to go when he talked to the media on Monday.
Seems like the Lions are going to have to handcuff this guy to his locker if they want to try to keep him out of this game.
We'll see how things look for both guys once injury designations drop, but it certainly seems like both of them are going to play against the Packers on Thursday.
