The Detroit Lions will complete their cuts at 4:00 on Tuesday. Then things will shift a bit for the team as they begin to sign players to their practice squad. That should start as early as Wednesday.
The practice squad is different these days. Last year the NFL allowed teams to have 12 players on their practice squad. This year it's up to 16. That's a lot of guys that the Lions can bring in to take a look at.
It should be expected that the majority of this practice squad will be filled up with players that were recently with the Lions at camp and cleared waivers on Wednesday. They could also decide to add some guys that they bring in from other teams. Below we will keep you abreast of everything that the Lions do with their practice squad until the group is full.
