The 2023 offseason has been an exciting time for Detroit Lions fans. Adding key free agents at positions of need has sparked enthusiasm amongst the team as well.
Lions DT Alim McNeill couldn’t hide his excitement when speaking to reporters on Tuesday.
“It's almost like we’re playing Madden, we’re adding some pieces for sure,” McNeill said with a big smile. “I'm excited to see what we can do. It's gonna be crazy. I just want to see how everybody looks, how we gel together. It’s been exciting to see I can't wait.”
Drafted in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft, McNeill arrived in Detroit at the perfect time. In just two seasons he’s witnessed the Lions rise to relevancy.
McNeill started in all 17 games last season on a defense that has underwent significant improvement already. With the draft right around the corner the Lions will have another opportunity to bolster its video game roster soon.
