The Detroit Lions have probably put together one of the best offseasons of any team in the NFL over the past few months. The ability to find proven contributors and obvious starters at nearly every position of need through the draft and free agency is going to help one of the hottest teams towards the end of the 2022 season greatly in 2023.

This is good news for the Lions and their fanbase for obvious reasons, and it also looks like good news for Lions fans that happen to be bettors. (Just make sure not to place a bet on team grounds. Still not over it.)

Prior to the start of all the fun of free agency and the 2023 NFL Draft, Lions head coach Dan Campbell was the favorite to win Coach of the Year in 2023. How do Lions fans feel about that now after seeing how much better the team has become?

After everything that has happened with player additions and the likelihood that the Lions end their playoff drought, win a game, and make an actual run in the playoffs, those people who jumped on Campbell back in March are probably loving their decision right now.

People pay attention to when teams get way better.

Hell, this team was almost able to make that happen last year if a few plays went differently, and the talent was severely lacking in several key areas for what was customary.

Now, Detroit has one of the best offenses in the NFL and a defense that improved more than any unit in the league over the past few months. Those Dan Campbell odds are just going to get all the more likely (and worse for bettors that want to join) as more people start to pay attention.

There is a lot of uncertainty in the NFL and it can become hard to predict some things with perfect accuracy, but it sure seems like this is one of the best and easiest bets tied to the Lions in 2023.
