The Detroit Lions aren’t going to sneak up on anybody in the 2023 season.

The Lions put the league on notice during its final 10 games last season. Detroit went 8-2 down the stretch with three wins over playoff teams while sweeping the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers in the process.

Head coach Dan Campbell has worked hard to instill a winning culture in the Motor City. The team has done well to add talented pieces in free agency who match the style of football Campbell wants his team to play.

The Lions are being talked about as a true contender in the NFC North for the first time in quite a while. With national notoriety on the rise, ESPN’s Robert Griffin III is sending out a warning to the rest of the NFL on behalf of the Lions.

Below is Griffin’s tweet applauding the Lions for its strong offseason moves such as the signings of C.J. Gardner-Johnson, Cameron Sutton, Emmanuel Moseley, David Montgomery and Marvin Jones Jr.

The Lions finally have a roster capable of contending in the NFC. That being said, Detroit knows better than to look ahead. Expect the Lions to come out of the gates and prove to the remaining doubters why it can finally kick down the door in the NFC North.
