Madden finally seemed to get things right with Detroit Lions Head Coach Dan Campbell this year. But the problems with the Lions are not quite over. Now they've messed up rookie Jahmyr Gibbs. Take a look.

That looks nothing like Jahmyr Gibbs. That looks more like that thing where people go and create the entire draft class on the previous years Madden. That is a created player all the way. It looks like a character that was created for a my player mode or something. Only it's a non playable character that you just see in the background from time to time.

This only contributes to what's been a rough rollout for Madden 24. There's been a ton of complaints on social media from those of the people who have early access to the game that's dropping later this week. Normally there's always issues with gameplay during the first week of just about every game. Patches will normally fix it. I don't know what it's going to do about stuff like this.

The entire series has seemed to have lost its way over the past few years. Madden's agreement with the NFL to be the leagues only video game is slated to end in 2026. Maybe we'll see a rival of the very popular NFL 2K series. Maybe they'll do a better job with Jahmyr Gibbs too.
