Earlier this week we talked about the time that Detroit Lions receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown ran through the 16 receivers, and the colleges they went to, that were drafted before him in the 2021 NFL Draft on Hard Knocks last summer.

We also tracked the production of those 16 receivers and compared it to what St. Brown has done during his time. What we found is that the Lions got a big steal in the fourth round. St. Brown had more receptions than all 16 of them and definitely belongs near the top of the league when it comes to receivers.

I thought that was all that would be said about it at the time. It seemed like maybe St. Brown might be over it and had eaten the chip on his shoulder. Turns out that's not the case. St. Brown joined the Total Access team on Monday and here's what he had to say on the matter:

"So actually, still, I still think about it"  St. Brown said. "Actually I have my goals written down in my notebook. You know, what I want to achieve every year. So what I want to achieve this year going into the season, my personal goals, and then right below that have, you know have the 16 receivers written down where they went to college right right below that. And so I read that whole list three times before I go to practice every day."

It's pretty reminiscent of the situation form Invincible. The Mark Wahlberg movie about former Eagles special teamer Vince Papale. Before every practice and every game, he looks at a note from his ex-wife and, for some reason, it inspires him to go out and play his heart out.

Hey, whatever gets you to that place, used it. That's what St. Brown is doing. 16 other teams made the mistake of fueling this man and he plans to make every single one of them remember their mistake. Because he will never forget it.

"So it's something I'll never forget. It's something I make sure I'm always reminded of because it's kind of like someone in your family passes away as years go on, you kind of you know, it gets easier on you and start to forget about a little more, but it's something that you know, you'll never forget." St. Brown said. "So I've personally never forget it. And being able to have that on my notebook every you know, every time I go out to practice, just to make sure I'm you know, I'm staying, staying focus and never forget what happened to me."

Lions fans should just be happy that St. Brown is on the Lions. They'd surely hate to be on the other side of this.
