Detroit Lions  rookie phenom Brain Branch went down with an injury on Thursday night against the Packers. He actually went down twice. The first time he was carted off the field with trainers and then came back out and got taped up and re-entered the game. 

The second time is where the concern comes from. Branch went down and walked off the field pretty gingerly. That made many wonder if Branch had worsened the injury he had suffered in the game. Don't worry too much, there's some good news here. 

That's very good news for the Lions. They're not fully out of the dog house just yet though. This could be an ankle sprain or, even worse, the dreaded high ankle sprain. We'll see as time move ahead. 

The good thing is that the Lions now have 10 days to rest and recuperate. That should hopefully give Branch enough time to get right ahead of another NFC opponent in the Carolina Panthers.
