The Detroit Lions had some big news earlier this week when newly signed cornerback Emmanuel Moseley from the PUP list the week before they head into their Week 1 matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs. But will he play Week 1? That's been the question ever since. On Friday we got an update on where things are at with Moseley.

"We just got to take it as a comes you know." Lions Head Coach Dan Campbell said.  "He'll get his first work with all of us out there today and then he'll get a little bit tomorrow. And it's tough for me to say right now. But he's, he's progressed well.  It's a credit to him. He's put a ton of work into it. He's a grinder. And what bodes well for him, he's smart, you know, he's, he's played the game and he's pretty instinctive. And so he can, you know, I think he's got a chance to catch up pretty fast. Does that mean this week? I don't know. But we'll just take it as it comes."

The good news is that he's back at practice. That obviously points to the idea that he could be playing very soon. We've remained on the side of the fence that says he either won't play or will play very little in Week 1. It would seem like things are trending in that direction. We'll see what happens as the next week goes along.

Moseley was one of the Lions biggest signing this offseason. He figures to be a key part of the Lions much refurbished secondary in 2023 once he gets rolling. Just to have him ack at this juncture is a win.

Could Mike Evans be a possibility for the Lions?

Normally I wouldn't speculate over stuff like this. I'd just sit back and watch how things work out and keep my mouth shut. You blame Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press for putting the idea that the Detroit Lions could trade for Buccaneers receiver Mike Evans in my head.  There's been some drama between […]
