What a Sunday that Detroit Lions rookie Brian Branch had against the Falcons. He had a straight up All-Pro caliber day with 11 tackles, three for a loss and two pass breakups. The thing that might stick out the most at the end of the day was his hit on Falcons rookie running back Bijan Robinson.
It makes sense. These two have been going at it since their college days when Branch was at Alabama and Robinson was at Texas. Maybe Branch still has the loss to Robinson and Texas on his mind form last season.
You got to love a guy that likes to hit out there. He'll have his shot to get more hits on Thursday when the Lions had to Green Bay to take on the Packers at Lambeau in prime time.
