Detroit Lions receiver Jameson Williams returned to the Lions two week early on Monday after the NFL reinstated him from his suspension after they modified the rules and punishments with their gambling policy. Naturally, that got Lions fans excided. Then this happened.

It's that "if" that got people all worried. The full Dan Campbell quote is this: "We also know if he does play, he can't play 60 plays, that's not smart."

Everyone was worried about that "if" part all night. Well, you don't have to worry about the "if" part anymore. Lions quarterback Jared Goff pretty much confirmed that Jameson Williams will play on Sunday against the Panthers when he said that Jameson Williams will be involved "to some extent."

There you go. That pretty much jives with what Campbell said Monday. It looks like Jameson Williams will indeed be on a snap count on Sunday. Williams returned to practice for the Lions on Tuesday and took part in the entire practice as a full participant.

As for the man himself, Williams says his hamstring is good and that he's ready to go. He also said he spent the entire 33 days he was away working out. He even took a page out of Amon-Ra St. Brown's book. He caught 100 passes a day from his Juggs machine. That's 3,300 balls he caught during his time away. Those hands should be ready to catch some passes on Sunday.

We'll see on Sunday how much he's truly involved. I wouldn't expect to see anything like the snaps he saw when he returned from his ACL injury in 2022.He'll see much more than that. Look for the Lions to give him a Marvin Jones type day with something like 30 snaps. He should definitely see some targets.

Many key players return to practice for the Lions, St. Brown sits out

The Detroit Lions had their first practice of the week on Tuesday ahead of their matchup with the Carolina Panthers. Here's who wasn't able to practice and who returned. Amon-Ra St. Brown: St. Brown was running on the side. That's a good sign Brian Branch Jason Cabinda Ok. Now here's who notably did practice on […]
