The Detroit Lions got a big win on Sunday when they manhandled the Carolina Panthers 42-24. Unfortunately they weren't able to walk out of the stadium fully healthy at the end of the night.
In fact, one of their starting offensive linemen walked out in a walking boot. Per Detroit News's Nolan Bianchi, Jonah Jackson looked a little banged up in the locker room and had a walking boot on.
Walking boots are in interesting thing in the NFL. Sometimes guys will wear them because they maybe rolled their ankle in the game and this is way to keep it stabilized and help the bruising heal faster.
Other times they're like Taylor Decker and you have an ankle injury that keeps you out for multiple weeks. we don't quite know which one it is just yet and probably won't until later in the week.
What we do know is that Jackson played the entire game and never came out. Then again, so did Decker against the Chiefs.
As for Emmanuel Moseley, he finally made his Lions debut on Sunday and after a very short time in the game, he went down with what looked like a no contact injury. We don't know what that injury is yet, but Lions Head Coach Dan Campbell had this to say after the game.
“Yeah, Moseley we’ll know more tomorrow. I know on tape or the replay it certainly didn’t look good, but we won’t know a ton until we get the MRI, which will be tomorrow afternoon."
We'll be sure to keep an eye on both of these injuries and update you as soon as we know the information.
