Madden ratings week is wrapping up with a bang. On Friday they released the numbers everyone was waiting on. The quarterback numbers. They released the linebacker ratings too. Here's how things shake out for the Detroit Lions.

Player Rating

Jared Goff

80

Jack Campbell

75

Derrick Barnes

70

Hendon Hooker

68

Nate Sudfeld

55

The big one here is obviously Jared Goff. This is an improvement for him. Goff was rated at 77 in Madden 22, but then went all the way down to 72 in Madden 23. This year he's back in the 80's for the first time since Madden 20 in 2019. If Goff keeps this momentum going, can he hit 90 by the end of the year?

Because I know you're curious, here's how the rest of the NFC North quarterbacks look. Kirk Cousins is a 84 overall, Justin Fields comes in at 76 and Jordan Love is a 70.

As for the rest of the quarterbacks. Third round pick Hendon Hooker will start his Madden career at a 68. That's not too bad at all. Especially when you consider that the Packers starting quarterback is rated at 70. Nate Sudfeld is all the way down at 50. That's pretty low. He's one of the best in the league when it comes to taking a knee.

On the linebacker side of things, I don't know why Madden likes to release the outside linebacker ratings and middle linebacker ratings on different days, but they do. Outside linebacker numbers got dropped on Tuesday.

As for the middle linebackers, first round pick Jack Campbell starts his career at 75 overall. That's not bad at all. Derrick Barnes rating went form a 66 in Madden 23 to a 70 this year.
