The Detroit Lions got some good news on Wednesday morning. Pro Bowl right tackle Penei Sewell has cleared concussion protocol and will return to practice on Wednesday.
That's obviously a big return for the Lions and great news that the potential concussion was not as serious as they can be some times. The big goal for this Lions team should be to to get this offensive line into the season without missing a man to injury. That's something that the Lions haven't really done in a long time.
As for other injury news, Emmanuel Moseley has been moved to the Active PUP list. He's expected to make his camp debut on Monday. I would expect to see him start off with some conditioning on the sideline before he gets a chance to make it onto the field for team drills.
Sam LaPorta had a minor ankle injury on Monday. He will return to practice on Wednesday and is good to go. Marvin Jones is back as well. He came back on Monday. Ifeatu Melifonwu will not practice due to a knee injury.
The Lions are relatively healthy at the moment. That's good considering they have a big week ahead of them next week. The New York Giant will be in town for joint practices and the first preseason game of the year.
