The Seattle Seahawks took some bumps last Sunday against the rams when they lost both their starting left tackle Charles Cross and their starting right tackle Abe Lucas. The question all week has been will they play against the Detroit Lions on Sunday.
Now we know that one of them will not. The Seahawks placed right tackle Abe Lucas on injured reserve on Wednesday. He will miss the Seahawks next four games.
As for Cross, there's no word on him yet. Seahawks Head Coach Pete Carroll was asked abotu both Cross and Lucas early Wednesday and he had this to say.
The Seahawks did sign 41 year old Pro Bowl left tackle Jason Peters to their practice squad on Tuesday, but it seems like it would be difficult to just move Peters into a regular season game after he hasn't had a full weeks practice since he was with the Cowboys in 2022. Peters was not with any teams during training camp this summer.
If that's the case, here's who the Lions could be looking at. Stone Forsythe on the left side and Jake Curhan on the right.
Forsythe has been with the Seahawks since 2021 and has started one game. Curhan has also been with the team since 2021, but he's started five games. All five of them were during the 2021 season.
We'll keep you up to date on everything regarding this situation as news comes in.
