The Detroit Lions have announced some major roster moves on Saturday leading up to Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks.

The team stated they have officially placed defensive lineman Josh Paschal and cornerback Khalil Dorsey on the injured reserve. Both players will be out for a minimum of four games.

It was also reported that offensive lineman Taylor Decker has been downgraded and ruled out for Sunday's matchup.

Paschal suffered a knee injury during Thursday's practice but it doesn’t appear to be a major injury that will keep him sidelined indefinitely.

"There is a chance he can be out for a little bit," Lions head coach Dan Campbell said. "But I don’t feel like this something to be a season-ending type deal."

However, it's still tough news for the Lions second-round pick in 2022. Paschal posted a solid season opening performance against the Kansas City Chiefs last week, totaling three tackles and made a major stop on third-down.

Paschal is no stranger to the IR as he missed seven games last season due to an undergoing summer hernia surgery and also suffered a midseason knee injury that held him out of two games.

In corresponding moves to the roster changes, the Lions signed cornerback Chase Lucas to the 53-man roster from the practice squad, and elevated offensive guard Kayode Awosika from the practice squad to Sunday's official game day roster.
