This is a bit of treat for Detroit Lions fans this morning. It's not often you get to see a hall of fame quarterback do a film study. Especially on a Lions quarterback. Today you do. Former Rams quarterback Kurt Warner went on his YouTube page this week and broke down Goff's performance from the first half of the Lions Week 18 matchup with the Packers.

I'm not sure why Warner picked this exact half of football from this exact game. This might of been the worst Goff looked in the second half of the season when the Lions were going on their run. Goff went 14-21 for 120 yards. It wasn't that bad, but I'm not sure this was the best game to go over Goff film since it really doesn't display the way Goff had played in 2022. Still, there's a lot of good tidbits in here.

You specifically get to see some areas where Goff can improve his game and some areas where the Lions offense can help him do that. You can see some areas where Goff should have made certain throws and looked off guys and you can see some areas where Goff really shouldn't have made a throw. You can even see some miscommunication between receivers and Goff a couple times.

It's worth a watch. It's a quick 18:35. Judging by the history on Warner's page, we should be getting a follow up to this video where he'll go over the second half of this game. I look forward to seeing his breakdown on Goff's crazy 43 yard pass to Kalif Raymond.

Update: Kurt Warner has uploaded part two. Here it is.
