The Detroit Lions have been one of the more active teams in free agency over the last week.

Detroit bolstered its secondary by signing cornerbacks Cam Sutton and Emmanuel Moseley last week. They also signed safety CJ Gardner-Johnson to a one-year deal.

The Lions are poised to make a run in the NFC North after going 9-8 last season in Dan Campbell's second year leading the franchise.

If Detroit wants to further improve its chances of winning the NFC North for the first time since 1993, they might want to listen to some advice from CBS Sports.

Cody Benjamin, an NFL writer for CBS Sports, thinks the Lions should sign pass rusher Frank Clark this offseason.

Clark was recently released by the Kansas City Chiefs after spending the last four seasons with the franchise and winning two Super Bowls.

From CBS Sports: The Lions were already a feisty organization before their 2023 moves, but adding physical defenders like Cameron Sutton and C.J. Gardner-Johnson makes them even more imposing. Clark is of the same mold, thriving as a rough-and-tumble crunch-time performer in Kansas City. He may not be built to play every down like he once was, but the former Pro Bowler could easily slot in as a split-starter with John Cominsky opposite Aidan Hutchinson. He also went to Michigan, confirming the area connection.

Clark will turn 30 this summer. Over the last few seasons, Clark has shown to be a player that will total around five to seven sacks a season. He may not be a superstar, but he's a solid player that could fit in well in Detroit's culture.

The former Michigan Wolverines standout would also bring some championship experience to the Lions' locker room, something that could be extremely important as the Lions look to flip the narrative in the NFC North in 2023.

I don't think signing Clark is a "must" for the Lions, but it's a move that could definitely help the franchise this upcoming season.
