Detroit Lions veteran defensive tackle Isaiah Buggs had Lions Twitter a bit confused on Sunday evening when he put out this cryptic tweet.

It's an interesting comment that comes out of nowhere. What makes it more interesting is that Buggs was the only Lions player that was absent from the Lions practice facility on Saturday.

This has of course launched a lot of theories on what's going on. Some say that Buggs changed his picture from him in a Lions jersey to this black circle. I can say that I remember him having a picture of himself in a jersey, but I can't say that when he changed it or if it was even recently. Others are saying he took "Lions" out of his bio to. I can't confirm that since I never saw it.

Then of course there's people thinking that he might be traded soon. I have no details on that at this time and Detroit News' Justin Rogers says there seems to be no change to his status at this time.

What it could be is an injury. The last time we saw Buggs was against the Panthers in the preseason when he went down with an injury late in the game. That could explain his absence on Saturday. Perhaps he was getting his injury looked at and they found it to be serious. We have no update on his injury at this time.

Update: Turns out that's not the case either.

Buggs would later quote tweet a fellow defensive linemen in the NFL.

Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones is in the middle of a holdout with the Chiefs. For what it's worth, Buggs did just sign a new deal with the Lions in March.

In any event, we have no news on what's going on with Buggs at this time, but we will update you on this story as we learn more.

Only one GM has kept more draft picks than Brad Holmes and the Lions

Detroit Lions General Manager Brad Holmes spoke to the media on Friday and something stood out to me in that presser. It wasn't even something that Holmes said. It was part of a question that one of the reporters asked. Holmes was asked about how he felt about the Lions keeping nearly all of their […]
