The Detroit Lions have a big game against the Denver Broncos on Saturday night and they're going to need all hands on deck for this one. That's why the Lions shuffled some things around and made a few moves hours ahead of game time. Heres' what the Lions did:

Elevated Bruce Irvin from practice squad

Irvin made a bit of splash in his Lions debut on just 11 snaps against the Saints. The plan from Dan Campbell and the Lions was to utilize Irvin more down the stretch. Elevated Michael Badgley from practice squad

There's only one reason a team would make this move. This very clearly means that Riley Patterson will sitting this game out. Michael Badgley will kick for the Lions on Saturday night.

Lions fans should be used to seeing Badgley. He was the Lions kicker in 2022 and he didn't do a bad job. Ultimately he lossed the job to Riley Patterson at camp, but the Lions brough him back in August to be on the practice squad.
