DJ Turner has rare movement skills, clocking the fastest 40-yard dash at the Combine, and falling 0.01 seconds short of the 3-cone record. He breaks on routes faster than any other DB in this class, and his only real negative off the bat is going to be his size. The tape shows that he has great burst and anticipation of routes developing underneath him. He almost never gets beat over the top due to that crazy speed, but ever more, he's got great transitions and very smooth hips. With Turner, there is almost no wasted movement when he's on the field. It's fitting that he's now a Bengal, because the comparisons between him and Mike Hilton are off the charts.

Strengths:

  • Short Area Quickness: Turner demonstrates the ability to change direction and accelerate rapidly within a confined space.
  • Explosive Speed: Possesses the capacity to generate sudden bursts of high velocity, showcasing impressive acceleration.
  • Zone Awareness: Turner shows a keen understanding of positioning and coverage areas in zone defenses, allowing for effective route-running and finding open spaces.

Weaknesses:

  • Mass and Strength: Lacks significant mass and strength, which can impact effectiveness in physical matchups and blocking.
  • Ball Tracking: Struggles with consistently locating and tracking the ball in the air, leading to potential issues with timing and catching.
