Grading and Ranking ALL 30 RBs in the 2023 NFL Draft: Film Breakdown
In this film room video, we take a look at every running back in the 2023 NFL Draft, grading and ranking them one by one.
Running back is a position that loses value in the draft every single year, as NFL teams move more towards a pass-heavy offense, with guys like Christian McCaffrey as the ideal guy in the backfield. While players like Derrick Henry and Nick Chubb still have their place in the NFL, teams are moving more towards a back that can also operate as an effective receiver, giving the QB one more weapon to use. In this draft, Texas RB Bijan Robinson is the clear RB1, as he is arguably the best prospect in the entire draft. Behind him, you get people like Alabama RB Jahmyr Gibbs, Texas A&M's Devon Achane, and Pittsburgh's Israel Abanikanda. Guys like Gibbs are more of that shifty, receiving back, while people like Bijan and Abanikanda are more of your prototypical running back who goes down hill.
