Ferguson and Hendershot have proven themselves to be capable and dynamic tight ends that can thrive in the Cowboys offensive scheme. With Dalton Schultz commanding big money after this year, the Cowboys should be confident moving forward with Ferguson and Hendershot. Here, we take a look at what they bring to the Cowboys offense, where they can be used effectively, and what I see as the potential for these two young TEs.

Peyton Hendershot:

Some of Hendershot's strengths as a tight end include his size, physicality, and hands. He is a big target with a wide catch radius, and is capable of making difficult catches in traffic. Additionally, he is a willing and effective blocker who can contribute in the running game.

One of Hendershot's weaknesses is his lack of elite speed and athleticism, which can limit his ability to separate from defenders and make plays after the catch.

Jake Ferguson:

Some of Ferguson's strengths as a tight end include his reliable hands, route running ability, and field awareness. He is capable of making contested catches and is effective at finding soft spots in zone coverage.

He has also been inconsistent as a receiver at times, and has struggled with drops. To improve his blocking ability against NFL-level defenders, he may need to add more strength to his frame.
