Saldiveri tested very well at the NFL Combine, with his only real athletic limitation being his arm length. Because of that main disadvantage, and the current state of the Saints offensive line, I see Saldiveri primarily playing on the interior for the foreseeable future. Saldiveri is great with his hands, showing a consistent ability to adjust his hands mid-play and counter the moves of pass rushers. He also has strong foot work, always seeming to stay square to his man, no matter the situation. Run blocking is where he struggles some. Saldiveri can move well, but fails to generate tons of power and really move defenders out in space.

Strengths:

– Athleticism: Saldiveri's athleticism is a noteworthy strength. He exhibits quickness in getting out of his stance and displays good agility, allowing him to effectively mirror pass rushers. When it comes to run blocking, he showcases the ability to reach the second level of the defense and excels at engaging targets in open spaces.

– Awareness: Saldiveri demonstrates impressive awareness, as showcased by his ability to step in and play at right guard during a game in the 2022 season. He exhibits a keen understanding of the opposing team's pass rush strategies and effectively identifies their origin. Moreover, he displays strong communication skills.

– Physicality & Size: Saldiveri possesses favorable physical attributes for his position. Standing at 6-foot-6 and weighing 318 pounds, he exhibits solid size that aligns well with the requirements of the NFL. Additionally, his decent length is evident through his arm measurement of 33 1/4 inches, which is considered satisfactory for his position.

Weaknesses:

– Strength: Saldiveri doesn't possess exceptional strength as a lineman. He often faces challenges in maintaining run blocks and struggles to effectively move defenders out of his path.

– Hands: Saldiveri would benefit from refining his hand usage, particularly in sustaining blocks. Enhancing the timing of his punches can aid in stalling opposing rushers.

– Finishing Blocks: Saldiveri would benefit from enhancing his ability to finish blocks. By playing through the whistle and adopting a more determined mindset, he can increase the likelihood of sustaining blocks for longer durations and effectively impeding the progress of opposing players.
