The Green Bay Packers would be wise to listen to the latest suggestions from quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Rodgers spoke to reporters after the Packers' 27-10 loss to the New York Jets and he suggested that Green Bay take an aggressive approach ahead of the trade deadline.

“(General Manager) Brian (Gutekunst) and I have had a number of conversations," said Rodgers after the loss. "I trust him and his staff. If they feel like they need to add, they will. I think there’s enough on this team to be a successful team.”

“There’s the possibility if certain guys emerge of us having a chance to make a run," added Rodgers. "I know Brian believes the same thing. But if there’s an opportunity, I would expect that Brian will be in the mix.”

It's clear that Rodgers isn't giving up on the season. And he shouldn't. There are still 11 games to play and the Packers are just two games behind the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC North. If Green Bay gets back on track, they could still easily take the division.

But it's also clear that the Packers need to make some changes. And some of those changes are personnel changes. Green Bay's wide receiver group was a major question mark entering the season. So far, the Packers are getting the wrong answers to that question.

If the Packers are going to make a run, they need to listen to Rodgers, make some moves (a wide receiver has to be a priority), and do their best to bring some new/fresh ideas to the offense.

Because if they just go with the status quo and don't improve their offensive personnel, Green Bay will continue to sink in the NFC North until there's no hope left for the season.
