Now that the Green Bay Packers season is officially over, their focus is on the offseason. Particularly what QB Aaron Rodgers will do regarding his future.

Speculation began with Rodgers' choice of words to "hold onto this one" when Lions WR Jamison Williams requested a jersey swap.

Rodgers later clarified in a non-committal way towards the future.

“At some point the carousel comes to a stop and it’s time to get off. I feel good about what I’ve accomplished in this league and wouldn’t have any regrets walking away, but I gotta see what it feels like once I get away from this.”

Leaving Packers fans in Limbo.

If there is anyone who can understand what Rodgers is going through, it's his friend, golf partner and fellow future Hall of Famer, Tom Brady.

Brady, 45, has been the speculation of retirement every year he has played and understands the frustration that comes along with it.

Offering his comments on his "Let's Go!" podcast, alongside former player Larry Fitzgerald and host Jim Gray, Brady believes some time away will give him and the Packers the clarity needed.

"Aaron, in my belief, is spectacular. He can obviously continue to play and he has all the ability in the world to do that. And there's a lot of other things that come into play, and he'll make that decision when it's right for him.

And everyone should give him the time and space to do it."

There's no current timetable but the Green Bay Packers do have a finite amount of time to hear from Rodgers.

If he retires, they can officially begin the Jordan Love era.

If he stays for another year, they can turn their attentions to other facets of the team

We likely won't know Rodgers official decision for a few months, but Brady is right. Giving Rodgers the time and space to make this decision on his own is what's best.
