The last time Green Bay Packers fans got a good like at rookie wide receiver Grant DuBose, it was in the locker room during rookie minicamp.
The seventh-round pick has been absent the entire offseason because of a back issue that's kept him off the practice field. DuBose had yet to participate in a single practice with his Packers teammates, but that all changed on Monday when he was cleared to get on the field.
It's awesome to finally see him out on the field. There are jobs up for grabs in the Packers receiver room and while DuBose certainly has a long way to go and a lot to prove – there is still enough time where he can make a case for a job on the final roster.
The preseason is where that starts. DuBose should see plenty of playing time despite missing so much of the offseason. The lanky wideout represents a solid red zone target that can make plays at the catch point. That's huge for a young quarterback like Jordan Love, so, if DuBose can turn heads early and often – don't be surprised if he ends up as the Packers' comeback story of the summer.
