The Green Bay Packers have made a series of roster moves ahead of the Detroit Lions game on Thursday. Tight end Luke Musgrave (abdomen) and running back Emanuel Wilson (shoulder) have been placed on injured reserve, which means they will be out for at least four games.

General manager Brian Gutekunst have also made additions to the active roster amid several injuries. Wide receiver Bo Melton and running back James Robinson were promoted to the 53-man roster.

Meanwhile, fullback/tight end Henry Pearson and safety Benny Sapp III were elevated from practice squad for gameday. It's the first elevation for Pearson, and the second in a row for Sapp. Each player can be elevated three times during the same season.

Injuries

The Packers are facing a significant amount of injuries before the Lions game. In addition to Musgrave and Emanuel Wilson, running back Aaron Jones and wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks are not expected to play. Jayden Reed also appeared on the injury report on Tuesday with a chest injury.

Tight end Josiah Deguara might not play either, which motivated Pearson's elevation. Rookies Tucker Kraft and Ben Sims are the only healthy tight ends on the roster.
