Packers make crucial move on first day of free agency
The Green Bay Packers made a quick splash in free agency by re-signing one of its most dynamic players from 2022.
The Green Bay Packers wasted no time in making its first plash during the NFL’s free agency period.
Just an hour after the league’s tampering period began, the Packers came to an agreement with All-Pro return specialist Keisean Nixon. He is reportedly signing a one-year deal worth up to $6 million according to Ian Rapoport.
Nixon proved his value as one of the NFL’s most dangerous return men in the 2022 season. He led the league with 35 kickoff returns for a total of 1,009 yards (28.8 YPR) and had the season’s longest kick return in the form of a 105-yard touchdown against the Minnesota Vikings.
Green Bay still awaits a decision from QB Aaron Rodgers, but locking up one of the team’s most dynamic weapons for next season is a massive victory early on.
