The Houston Texans have found their quarterback of the future. They found their franchise guy, and while it wasn't long ago that Deshuan Watson was that, it has felt like it's been ages since they have had a great quarterback.

C.J. Stroud is not only the Texans' franchise quarterback but also the quarterback of the future of the league. Stroud did things this year that rookies are not supposed to do, which is a huge reason he won the award he did.

Announced at NFL Honors on Thursday was the winners for every major award. The Offensive Rookie of the Year was one of the first ones, which means we got to hear that C.J. Stroud was the winner of the award very early in the night.

Stroud was one of the best quarterbacks in the league, leading the NFL in passing yards per game while throwing for 4,100 yards, 23 touchdowns, and only five interceptions.

The best part is he will only continue to get better. He won the award over guys like Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puca Nacua, Detroit Lions running back and tight end Jahmyr Gibbs, Sam LaPorta, and Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson.

Stroud was deserving of the award.
