The Houston Texans have been making moves this offseason, and now we can say they have made some good moves and some questionable ones. No one should try to act like they know more than NFL general managers, so it's best to wait and see if what they just did is a good move or not.
But for now, it's certainly questionable. The Texans just made another trade, days after trading for Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon. In this case, they traded away one of their best assets that could have tremendously helped their future.
According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the Texans are trading their No. 23 overall pick to the Minnesota Vikings along with the No. 232 pick for the Vikings No. 42, No. 188, and a 2nd-rounder in 2025.
The Texans still have a ton of flaws and holes to fill, and that was likely going to have to be done through the draft. As far as big free-agency moves, the Texans are pretty much done. They need to fill holes at cornerback, defensive tackle, and wide receiver.
