The day everyone has been waiting for is finally here- September 10th. Jaguars football is back.
Here's how to watch the season opener tomorrow:
Jacksonville Jaguars (0-0) at Indianapolis Colts (0-0) Date: Sunday, September 10th Time: 1:00 EST Location: Lucas Oil Stadium / Indianapolis, Indiana How to watch on TV: Fox Sports/ WJX4 Streaming: FuboTV, Youtube TV, NFL+ Radio: WJXL (92.5 FM) and Gator Country (99.9 FM)
3 things to watch for:
Full-force Jaguars football-
All 22 starters on both sides of the ball are healthy and active today. This might be the healthiest we'll see the Jags all season. Expect Jacksonville to fire off of the blocks and look to get a commanding lead on the Colts early in the game.
Offensive Chemistry-
It goes without question that all eyes will be on Calvin Ridley tomorrow. Of course, everyone wants to see Trevor Lawrence throw it up to his new WR1, but don't forget that the Jaguars offense features significant pass catchers not named Calvin Ridley. How well Ridley gels with Christian Kirk, Zay Jones, and Evan Engram remains to be seen.
Big plays on defense-
The Colts, under new head coach Shane Steichen, are a young team all-around, but this is especially the case on offense. The Colts will be without star running back Jonathan Taylor and rookie QB Anthony Richardson will be under center for Indy. Expect a lot of rookie mistakes from Richardson in his NFL debut, especially since he's going up against a defense that has ten starters returning from a year ago.
Football season is here- The 18-week-long (Hopefully longer) journey begins today for the Jags.
Buckle in.
