There are a lot of things that have gone awry for the Las Vegas Raiders.

One of them is the quarterback position, with the inconsistent play of Derek Carr. His latest blunder came in a must-score situation early in the second quarter. He threw a pass into coverage that merely didn't make sense.

Instead of drawing closer to New Orleans the game, Carr's untimely turnover led to the Saints scoring again, leading to a 17-0 deficit — the largest deficit for the Raiders to this point in the season.

Take a look at what Carr was thinking:

Carr has made some head-scratching throws all season. Most have come at the most inopportune times. Coming into Sunday's contest, Carr was tied for 13th in the NFL for interceptions (five). And through the first half of the game, things haven't looked better.

The offense is lethargic. And receivers aren't breaking open. Even if they were, Carr appears to be erratic in his timing and throws.

This interception serves as proof of his struggles.

If Las Vegas aims to climb back into the game, scoring points and limiting turnovers are paramount.
