The Las Vegas Raiders may be the worst team in the NFL. If not, they are a close second. So why would anyone want anything to do with what they have going on over there?

The offense has shown flashes this season, and I think we can all agree on that. Don’t believe me? Just take a look at the Chiefs game, where they were two points away from outscoring the best offense in the NFL.

It has happened more times than you may think this season. It just never stays that way.

One of the areas that hasn’t been good pretty much at all this year is the defense. They are one of the worst in the league when it comes to that side of the ball, but somehow have one of the best players in Maxx Crosby.

Patrick Graham has been the defensive coordinator this year, and frankly, it hasn’t looked good.

But, apparently, he is a name that teams may want after this year, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

“Not much has gone right this season for the Raiders, who are 2-7 under new coach Josh McDaniels. But it can’t be forgotten that Graham got a second interview for the Vikings’ head coaching job a year ago and the Jets tried to interview him the previous year, too.

“A former Yale defensive lineman, Graham is now in his 21st year coaching, with the past 14 being spent in the NFL (including a Super Bowl XLIX win with the 2014 Patriots). He’s passionate, has high expectations, and holds players accountable.”

Yeah, sure, the Raiders don’t really have a ton of great pieces on that side of the ball, so that could be a big reason why the defense isn’t doing great.

However, at the same time, they have one of the better defensive fronts, at least at the two edge spots, in the league yet they aren’t getting many sacks either.

The Raiders are dead last in sacks as a team with 10. Maxx Crosby has seven of those. How do you have the duo of Crosby and Chandler Jones and only have 10 sacks? Oh, and Jones only has half of a sack on the season. Half of a sack.

Also, just to add fuel to the fire, the Raiders are tied for second-worst interception numbers, as they have three on the year.

Graham isn’t helping either. So I don’t know why any team would want to add him to their squad after an abysmal season like this one.
