The Las Vegas Raiders finally did something I think all of us have been waiting on for quite some time now.
They finally released Derek Carr, and if you have been keeping up with the situation, you probably knew that's what would happen the entire time.
Carr didn't allow the Raiders to extend the deadline past February 15 which would have allowed them to look for a trade partner even longer.
Since he declined it, his $40 million would have been guaranteed on Wednesday. So, with no suitors yet for a trade, the Raiders were forced to cut him.
The Raiders' all-time leader in passing yards is now a free agent, and won't wear Silver and black for the first time in his career.
Instead, we will see the once-franchise quarterback for the Raiders has a fresh start elsewhere. Some didn't like him as the quarterback and some loved him, but I don't think we can argue about the things he did in the community and the person he was.
