As we all know, Derek Carr will no longer be a Las Vegas Raiders heading into next season, as crazy as that sounds. Some fans will hate it, some fans will love it, but I think all can agree he deserves to be put in a great situation moving forward.

One national media outlet has three potential landing spots for Carr, and all three of them would give him a decent situation heading into his 10th season.

Pro Football Focus thinks Carr could land in three interesting situations

According to Brad Spielberger of PFF, the three teams that make the most sense for Carr to land at are the New York Jets, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Carolina Panthers.

One of those I agree with, but two of them I’m not so sure about.

The Jets would have to be the best situation of those three. They have a great defense, some great weapons in the back field and great receivers. Their offensive line, when healthy, is good. The only thing they need is a good quarterback, and Carr could be that.

As for the Buccaneers, I think there is a huge possibility Tom Brady is still there next season. I think there is a bigger possibility he is there than the possibility of him not being there. If he were to be on the way out, though, I think Tampa Bay would be a good fit for him.

Now the Panthers, I can see them not doing this, at all. They have tried trading for the quarterback who is on his way out of what was supposed to be his franchise, twice now in Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield, and really, neither have worked. If they chose to go in a different direction that Darnold, I think it’s by way of the draft, or sticking with Matt Corral.

Either way, Carr needs to be put in the best situation possible.
