The Las Vegas Raiders are back at rock bottom. They looked to be heading in the right direction after starting as one of the worst teams in the league, and now they look like it again.

It all started to turn around when the Raiders lost by one point to the Kansas City Chiefs in Arrowhead Stadium. Then, they beat the Houston Texans pretty badly.

I don't think I have to say what happened last week to make them go right back where they started. But I'll just give a hint. They were shut out by the number two defense in most points allowed.

The defense hasn't been great, but last week the offense was downright awful. There have been several moments like that this season.

"It's definitely challenging," Darren Waller said when asked about the new offensive system. "It is taking time for a lot of people, and it will continue to take time. You really see guys flourish in their third year of an offense, and now you are starting to see people turn the corner because there are so many small nuances, and small adjustments and reactions you have to whatever the defense does.

"It's hard, but you can't do all of those things perfectly and right all the time. It takes time to really get those habits… It's going to continue to take time. Guys are going to continue to grow and get better at it, and that's only going to turn into a better offense."

This statement makes a lot of sense, but it doesn't at the same time.

This team had a full offseason and now nine weeks to have this figured out, so it should be by now. Not to mention, when McDaniels was in New England, the offense never seemed to look too crazy or difficult.

Then again it was run by Tom Brady.

This offense has so much potential. But, Mark Davis said it before the years started, this was a playoff team last year, so this new regime does not mean a rebuild.

The Raiders are playing like it does.
