The Las Vegas Raiders did not have a great day on offense. Aidan O'Connell played his worst game of the season, yet somehow they were still in the game and had a chance to win it. That would be because of the defense, who played their most impressive game of the year.

The question surrounding the defense was whether they could do it against an elite offense. The defense performed well the past two weeks, but that was against two very bad offenses. Well, the Miami Dolphins may just have the best offense in the league, so there's the answer to that question.

The offense went right back to how it was under Josh McDaniels and Jimmy Garoppolo. The team would have won the game if the offense had been average or competent. Aidan O'Connell, who turned the ball over several times, felt rushed in the pocket, and missed a few wide-open passes, can take a lot of the blame.

Some of the blame can also go on coaching and the offensive line. No matter what it is, the team is not worried about O'Connell having a repeat performance like this one.

"We're not freaking out; he's not freaking out," wide receiver Davante Adams said post-game. "We just have to stay together and find a way to convert better."

And, really, he's right. Thaat was his fourth game as a starter. The other three games we saw were far better and against better defenses. We know he can ball and do what needs to be done to get the win. Mind you, this is the same guy who also has the two longest plays on the season for the Raiders.

He will get better. He is a rookie. A game like this was going to come, so, maybe we should calm down a bit.
