The Las Vegas Raiders have put together a somewhat successful offseason so far in 2024, but they aren't done yet. The 2024 NFL Draft is coming up, and that's where they will make a lot of their money in terms of improving their roster.

We know they will likely target the quarterback position as they try to get the guy of the future there. They will also target the offensive tackle and cornerback positions. This roster has several needs that need to be filled through the draft, but some still need to be filled through free agency.

The Raiders have one more box to check off in free agency before they get ready for the draft.

Raiders need to look into veteran offensive lineman

If you're going to have a rookie quarterback or even a bridge quarterback and expect to win and make that jump, you have to have protection for the quarterback. Last season, the Raiders had that as the season went on. However, after seeing who didn't come back in free agency and who's currently on the roster, it's safe to say the Raiders have some holes to fill.

The positions that immediately come to mind are right guard and right tackle. Here are some offensive linemen still available in free agency that can provide that veteran factor they need:

Cody Whitehair, OG – The Raiders went this route last off-season with Greg Van Roten but didn't re-sign him for various reasons. Whitehair should be cheap, can provide depth, or even be a starter at the position. Could he be better, of course, but he is good enough to hold it down. Whitehair also played for the Chicago Bears last season, so he is familiar with the Getsy offense.

Lucas Patrick, OL – Patrick played center for most of last year, but he has played guard before and is willing to. So, that would add a depth layer to two positions. Patrick also played for Getsy before and knew the offensive system.

Dalton Risner, OG – Risner once used to play the Las Vegas Raiders twice a year when he was on the Denver Broncos. Now, he could be suiting up for The Silver and Black. He has the experience, and when he's on, he's good. Plus, he should be cheap.

The Raiders should likely take a swing on one of these guys before they head to the NFL draft.
