The Las Vegas Raiders' head coach gave everyone a little bit of an update on their star players' contract situation with mandatory minicamp here in early June.

There is a difference between OTAs and mandatory camp, and you probably guessed it, but the difference is mandatory the payers have to go. Let me rephrase that, the payers under contract have to go.

Technically, Josh Jacobs never signed his franchise tender so he isn't under contract. Josh McDaniels gave us an update on the situation and who is and isn't at camp on the first day.

"Yeah, and everyone, JJ [Josh Jacobs] is the only one that's not under contract," McDaniels told the media on Tuesday. "So everybody, everybody's here. So we have 90 Because we have the international because David Ohio's in the international program, so we actually have 90 here.

"And that's what we would have expected to liaise with Josh that he just hasn't signed his Yeah, doesn't the deadline is not until July. So again, I respect everything about that process. I have this is not the first time that you know that's happened in terms of me being a part of that. So you know, like I said, I stand by what I said before, love the kid love the player, love the person, and look forward to when I see him."

Jacobs' contract could come soon, for all we know. They have been talking and have been communicating about it all. I wouldn't look at it as a bad thing if he isn't there. At the same time, he missed a lot of offseason stuff last season and then had the best season of his career, and was a top-three running back in the league.

The Raiders want him there, and he wants to be a Raider. If he didn't, he wouldn't be posting pictures on Instagram of him in a Raiders uniform wearing the number 8. Now, it's just about how early this deal gets done so he can get in camp and start working with his teammates. Just because he isn't there doesn't mean he isn't working though, so remember that.
