We are now seeing a trend in the NFL, especially with the Las Vegas Raiders. No, it's not anything crazy by any means, but the players are starting to get ahead of the team.

This is now the second Raiders player in a week that has announced himself on Twitter, or X, that the team released him before the team could even get to the announcement themselves.

On Friday morning, Jakob Johnson, the Raiders' former starting fullback, revealed that the team had released him.

While the whole thing about the players doing it before the team is cool, I think it's worth noting that this move is a very surprising one. Johnson is a starter and the only fullback on the roster. The Raiders have often used Johnson as the lead blocker to help get the run game going.
