The Las Vegas Raiders decided to sign free agent wide receiver Jakobi Meyers this offseason, as he was already familiar with Josh McDaniels' system, and Jimmy Garoppolo.

On Sunday against the Denver Broncos, he showed why the Raiders made the right decision to sign him.

Raiders' Jakobi Meyers sets team record

Meyers had two touchdowns on Sunday against the Denver Broncos, tied for the most by any player in their Raiders debut. That is the most since 1980, joining Bob Chandler (9/7/80) and Mike Siani (9/17/1972), according to the Raiders' PR team on Twitter.

Meyers was signed to a three-year, $33 million contract this offseason. At the time, many fans weren't in favor of the move; however, his intelligence within the system, one where he spent several years in New England, is amazing.

He seemed to be in the right place at the right time. Not to mention, he and Jimmy Garoppolo had a great connection the entire time.

However, Meyers got hurt during the game and had to be helped off the field. From everything we have heard, it sounds like Meyers will be evaluated for a concussion.
