The Las Vegas Raiders have a guy on their team who has already made history, and on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints, he could make his mark on the history books even more.

The Raiders have had some great running backs in the history of the franchise. Marcus Allen, Bo Jackson, Mark Van Eeghen, Darren McFadden, and now Josh Jacobs can all be considered some of the best running backs to ever play for the Raiders. I'd say that is a pretty good list.

Well, of all of those names, besides Jacobs, none have ever had at least 140 rushing yards in three straight games. On Sunday against the Houston Texans, Jacobs was the first to do so, making him the first Raider player ever to do so.

On Sunday in Week 8, Jacobs has a chance to extend that record to four games, and make his mark on not only Raiders history, but NFL history as well.

The New Orleans Saints do not have the best-run defense. In fact, they have one of the worst. On the year, they allow the eighth most rushing yards per game at 142.0, which is just two yards more than what Jacobs needs to extend the record to four games.

I think Jacobs can do it, and if he isn't already being considered one of the best running backs in football, he will after he accomplishes a feat like that.
