Raiders HC Josh McDaniels says Bills' Josh Allen is 'not just a QB'

The Las Vegas Raiders will have an even tougher matchup this Sunday than they did against their division rival, the Denver Broncos. They barely beat the Broncos, a team that was one of the worst in the league last year. And, they came out of the game healthy for the most part, outside of Jakobi Meyers.
Then again, this is a new year. Maybe the Buffalo Bills, who were a playoff team last season, aren't very good this year. Last week's Monday Night Football game against an Aaron Rodgers-less New York Jets may suggest that the Bills aren't as great.
But, their quarterback, Josh Allen, presents some issues no matter how good or bad their team is. Josh McDaniels knows that he is one of those players who can affect the game a ton.
"He's a challenge for everybody," Raiders Coach Josh McDaniels said when he addressed the media on Wednesday. "This is one of the premier players in this league. I've obviously had an opportunity to compete against him a number of times. He's an incredible competitor. Really tough football player. He's a football player."
That is one of the best compliments you can get as a quarterback. Josh Allen is one of the best quarterbacks in the league at improvising, and the Raiders will have to deal with that a ton.
"He's not just a quarterback. I mean, he can hurt you with his mind, he can hurt you with his arm, he can hurt you with his legs, he can hurt you with his shoulder — dropping his shoulder and running through people," McDaniels continued. "He wants the ball in his hands in all the 'gotta have it's situations. He just does a tremendous job of leading their football team. He's a really good leader, and obviously, they play hard for him."
While all of this is true, and the Raiders won't have it easy against Allen, he did just have one of the worst games of his career against the Jets. One could say his bad decision-making is a huge reason they lost.
Allen had four total turnovers last week and made some plays that really made you scratch your head. While McDaniels is right, let's hope we see that same Josh Allen on Sunday. I mean, the Raiders are the underdogs as the odds currently stand, but that's exactly where they want to be.
