The Las Vegas Raiders know what they want after making another move to their quarterback room.

Earlier this season, the Raiders did something that most teams wouldn't. They paid Jimmy Garoppolo a ton of money while he was hurt with an injury and surgery that only they know about. Not to mention Garoppolo has a ton of injury history.

They did that shortly after cutting Derek Carr, their all-time leader in a couple of categories. Mind you, Garoppolo is not only worse in skill level than Carr but also is nowhere near as durable.

After that move, they went and got Brian Hoyer as a backup and drafted Aiden O'Connell from Purdue. That leaves one of their four quarterbacks left out.

On Tuesday, the Raiders announced they are cutting quarterback Chase Garbers, who was on the team last season. Garbvers actually had some great play during the preseason but has yet to play a snap in the regular season.

Garbers was just one more backup plan available if Garoppolo was indeed hurt or ended up getting hurt in the future. Now that they know Garoppolo will start camp somewhat healthy, after passing a physical, they cut Garbers.

It makes sense, though. Hoyer knows the offense and is an established veteran. O'Connell is the rookie they just drafted with a fairly high pick, and obviously, they are paying Garoppolo a lot of money.

Now we just hope Garbers can get a shot somewhere else.
