After their latest roster move, the Las Vegas Raiders want to ensure everything is understood.

No, I'm not talking about them releasing Marcus Peters, in which that was a business decision. The Raiders will save somewhere around $1.5 million by releasing him now instead of this offseason.

Instead, I'm talking about releasing special teams player Roderic Teamer, who, for some reason, thought it would be okay to drink and drive. On Sunday, he had a chance to play against the Kansas City Chiefs as he was activated off of IR. Then, Saturday night, he decided to get a DUI.

On Monday, the Raiders and Antonio Pierce told everyone they were parting ways with Teamer.

"Whatever you do off the field affects the decisions that are going to be made in this building," Pierce told the media Monday morning. "And we're gonna do our best to protect the brand, the shield, and the Raiders organization."

Teamer will try his luck elsewhere. As far as Pierce, you have to commend him on making sure everyone knows what's understood – you do not make the shield look bad outside of the football facilities. This franchise has dealt with enough of that.
