A lot of fans were upset about how the head coach hiring process went. They wanted Antonio Pierce but wished the Raiders interviewed more candidates, especially ones that could be up-and-coming game-changers or offensive geniuses like a Ben Johnson or Bobby Slowik. Some fans wanted at least one interview with Jim Harbaugh.
But it would appear they are going to get the offensive coordinator process right, for sure.
According to Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Raiders have put in requests to interview the Los Angeles Rams pass-game coordinator Zac Robinson for their OC jobs.
Robinson interviews with the Patriots on Tuesday and has already interviewed with the Chicago Bears. He is an up-and-coming name in this process, as he had a part in one of the best offenses in the league in Los Angeles.
I personally feel like this would be a great horse for the silver and black, but they have more work to do to make sure he is the right guy for the job or if someone else would be a better fit based on philosophy.
Antonio Pierce is already making Raiders’ history
